CLADEM is a regional organisation which contributes to the promotion, monitoring and defense of women rights in the region. The main focus of the organization is:
- the economic, social and cultural rights and globalisation
- the full citizenship participation
- the sexual and reproductive rights
- the right to a free of violence life.
CLADEM has a specialised centre of documentation that compiles resources in relation to the rights of women from the social/legal perspective. CLADEM also publishes books, reports, records, magazines and pamphlets focusing on education, gender equality, violence, health, environmental, ethnic and racial issues.
National offices of CLADEM are present in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
