FFLA´s institutional objectives are:

  • To strengthen leadership and facilitate processes to reach agreements about long term visions and policies.
  • To promote a culture of dialogue and systems of good governance for a change towards sustainable development.
  • To generate and share learning for the construction of collective knowledge and capacity building.

In order to achieve these objectives, FFLA has structured its programs based on two strategic tools:

  1. Prevention and Management of Socio-environmental Conflicts: strategies and activities which try to prevent the rising of tensions and/or transform confrontation into a relationship of collaboration and trust for a peaceful, just and equitable coexistence.
  2. Policy Dialogues: dialogues for the consensus-based approach to the development and implementation of public policies between diverse sectors.
