Transform Nutrition aims to transform how people think about nutrition and how they act to improve it by helping stakeholders in the most-affected countries – policy-makers, civil society and business leaders – to use quality research to address undernutrition. The initial focus countries include Bangladesh, India, Ethiopia and Kenya. Its research agenda focuses on the 1,000-day period from pre-pregnancy to 24 months of age and is structured around the following three themes: direct nutrition interventions, indirect nutrition interventions, and enabling environments for nutrition. The Transform Nutrition consortium, funded by UKAid, is made of up of six organisations: International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), Institute of Development Studies (IDS), International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B), Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), Save the Children, and The University of Nairobi.
