HRI is an international network of groups and individuals involved in human rights and social justice work.

Maintains a documentation centre. Materials from the centre (covering some 300 organisations) is available for sale from HRI in Canada or IDC Publishers in the Netherlands.

Printed directory publications include: Funding human rights (funding organisations and human rights awards); Masterlist (organisations concerned with human rights and social justice); African directory (human rights organisations in Africa); human rights education programmes (last available on WWW)

Other print publications include: Human Rights Tribune (journal); Human Rights Reporter (bibliographical/documentation); occasional paper series (country profiles)

WWW site includes: contents list of articles from Human Rights Tribune and Human Rights Reporter; publications lists; information on/about United Nations activities; texts of human rights Treaties, Conventions & Agreements; calendar of upcoming events; directory of human rights education programmes; syllabi/course outlines; full text educational materials (for range of levels including informal, school and University)

(a) HRIO: directory of NGOS and other organizations working on human rights and social justice world-wide. Gives contact addresses, fax, phone and brief description.

(b) HRIP: bibliographical database with abstracts in literature on human rights produced by NGOs

(c) FUND: directory of organisations funding human rights work

(d) AWRD: listing of human rights awards

(e) KIDS: listing of organisations with information on rights of the child
