Institutions based at Indiana University. It is an ongoing research and teaching programme at the University, focusing on institutional design / theory, ranging from common property resources and management regimes to micro and macro level policy analysis, major collaborative research projects on forestry resources, institutions and environmental change.
Information services include:
(a) Bibliographical databases (searchable, indexed, no abstracts, some 16000 citations) on common property / common pool resources (including issues such as property rights, game theory, agriculture, fisheries, grazing, land tenure, social organisation, water, wildlife) forestry resources and institutions, self-governance / democracy / constitutional analysis / federalism, indigenous knowledge and institutions, and of materials produced by and for the Workshop. Available on the WWW. The WWW interface allows keyword searching (over one or combined databases) ; the gopher interface allows browsing only.
(b) Workshop Research Library Bibliographies: prepared lists on selected topics
(c) Library: providing (on site) access to documents listed. Includes much grey literature
(d) WWW site also has information on the research/study programmes, list of publications and links to related sites.
