ERSA is one of three associations which together constitute the Regional Science Association International (RSAI). The others being the American and the Pacific Regional Science Associations. Constitution states the ERSA’s aims ”to foster the exchange of ideas at the European level and to promote studies focusing on the region, utilizing tools, methods and theoretical frameworks specifically designed for regional analysis, as well as concepts, procedures and analytical techniques of the various social and other sciences’.
