APIC (the educational affiliate of the Washington Office on Africa (WOA))aims to widen the policy debate in the USA around African issues and the US role in Africa by providing policy-relevant information and analysis. Operates a WWW site and an email dissemination list: the list distributes news-type materials written by APIC, UN agencies, news agencies and a range of NGOs (materials are also archived on WWW site). Material from the list is also sent to other email lists (including Africa-l, Africa-N, soc.culture.africa).
WWW site has archives of material from the email list (searchable by keyword, also browsable geographically and by date) plus some feature-type material on current campaigning themes.
