The British Institute of Agricultural Consultants, founded in 1957, is a professsional association of independent qualified specialists. Members’ skills and expertise cover a wide range of activities in agriculture, horticulture, forestry and related sciences which have applications in the countryside. All members are fully qualified, highly competent, experienced and independent. Members are bound by the rigidly enforced Code of Professional Conduct of the Institute, and also by any Code of Conduct of other professional bodies of which they may also be members.
Matters of concern to members who regularly or occasionaly work overseas are catered for by the International Division, which is responsible for maintaining and distributing a brochure – the International Register – containing the CV’s of these members, which is available to enquirers requiring assistance with problems overseas.
Searchable directory of members specialising in overseas work is available on floppy disc (covers 64 members in 1997). List can also be downloaded from WWW site.
