The Initiative provides financial support to reproductive health (RH) activities and services in Asia. Its main strategy is to involve international, regional and local non-profit organisations in its implementation and have these partners work together towards a common goal. With this approach the Initiative hopes to bring RH services within reach of populations in South and South-East Asia that are so far not or under-served.
Currently projects are implemented in 7 countries:
- Bangladesh
- Cambodia
- Lao PDR
- Nepal
- Pakistan
- Sri Lanka
- Viet Nam.
The site gives details of partners in all countries, projects they are funding, resources such as links to people and websites. Capacity building guides from ComNet are aslo availabe online giving details on issues such as advocacy, dealing with the media and online training guides to the internet.
