The Centre for Independent Development Research [CIDR] is a non-governmental research centre and think-tank located in Buea, Cameroon. CIDR brings together economists, development experts and technical specialists from across Cameroon, applying academic excellence to the needs of business and policy makers.
CIDR’s mission is to promote rural welfare and rural livelihood through sustainable improvements in household incomes. Its strategy revolves on strengthening, monitoring, evaluating options and executing local programs of action aimed at promoting sustainable improvements in rural welfare and development in Cameroon.
