The Institute’s goals are to promote knowledge of international issues, to encourage recognition of Italy’s role in a continually evolving global context, to provide a forum for high-level discussion, analysis and debate and to prepare individual experts for work in international environments.
ISPI’s principal fields of interest are international politics and economics, in addition to the analysing of international relations and strategic problems. Other branches of the social sciences also receive serious attention in order to ensure a multi-discipline approach to the study of the international environment. The Institute’s cultural activities include research, providing documentation and training. It also acts as a centre for conferences and debates.
