Created in 1992 by a group of pro-reform minded economists HSE specializes in educating MA students in the field of economics and other social sciences.
The school is particularly interested in developing the link between economic science and practice. It has a number of scientific centers dealing with practical testing of the existing economic programs.
The schools currently operates the following scientific laboratories:
- macroeconomic research and forecasting
- problems of the small business development
- social policies and socio-economic programs
- enterprises’ and companies’ behavior in the market
- price policies and regulation of natural monopolies
