Dgroup supports online platforms for discussion and partnerships among groups and communities interested in international development. The service is targeted at low bandwith users in the South, and will be available in Spanish, Portugese and French.
The site offers a facility where users can search for groups by country focus, regional focus, or by sectoral focus. The latter includes:
- agriculture and natural resource management
- economy, business and trade
- education and training
- environment
- governance and government
- health and nutrition
- human rights
- information, knowledge and communication
- people, labour and population
- social and political change
- youth and gender.
A free online course on how to use Dgroups is provided through the Help page, and the site also offers detailed answers to frequently asked questions.
