The “Right to Food Campaign” is an informal network of organisations and individuals committed to the realisation of the right to food in India. It is an outgrowth of the Supreme Court hearing on the right to food, held in response to a writ petition filed in April 2001 by the People’s Union for Civil Liberties, Rajasthan. The campaign aims to build on the legal process through a public campaign for the right to food.
