The School of Economic Sciences hosts the department of Economics with its different satellite research institutions. These include:
- the Bureau for Economic Policy and Analysis (BEPA)
- the Investment and Trade Policy Centre (ITPC),
- the Southern African Tax Institute (SATI)
- the African Institute for Economic Modelling (Afrinem)
