Cen2eco – Centre for Economic and Ecological Studies – is an independent, non-profit nongovernmental organisation established in Geneva in 2005. Cen2eco addresses economic and ecological issues related to global development through research, capacity building and technical assistance activities. Special focus is given to exploring options for Switzerland to promote sustainable development at the national and international levels.
Independently, and in collaboration with other organisations, Cen2eco undertakes research and capacity building activities to assist governments in designing and implementing policies aimed at enhancing their economic and environmental performance. While Cen2eco’s work focuses mainly on technical cooperation with national governments, it also works with cantons and communes in Switzerland on local sustainable development issues.
