MIHR’s concern is with health in the developing countries and among the poor. It seeks to find constructive ways to promote collaboration among all sectors involved in improving access to needed drugs, vaccines, diagnostics and other important health technologies.
It’s priciple activities include:
- Publishing a Handbook of Effective Licensing Practices for R&D on Public Goods.
- Administering one or two training courses for developing country individuals engaged in health R&D of specific products.
- Providing technical assistance to groups undertaking R&D who are in need of assistance on IP management.
- Disseminating in print and through its web page, information about IP management in health R&D.
