The Forestry Research Institute of Malawi (FRIM) aims to conduct operational forestry research to generate usable technologies and provide information for sustainable management, conservation and utilisation of forests/trees and allied natural resources in order to contribute to improving the welfare of the people of Malawi.
FRIM also carries out stakeholder-oriented research on the sustainable management, utilisation and conservation of trees and forests in Malawi.
