The Community Food Security Coalition (CFSC) is an organization made up of social and economic justice, environmental, sustainable agriculture, community development, and other groups. The Coalition has 325 organisational members across the United States and Canada. The aim of CFSC is to develop self-reliance among communities in obtaining their food and that is regionally based and grounded.
It achieves its goals through a number of programmes and services, which include:
- Policy Advocacy and Organising
- Education and Networking
- Training and Technical Assistance
- National Farm to Cafeteria Program
