EMPOWERS is a regional partnership, based in the Middle East and North Africa, of fifteen organizations allied together to improve long-term access to water by local communities. The project is mainly funded through the European Union’s Regional MEDA Water Programme for local water management and is being implemented in Egypt, Jordan and Palestine. Its main activities include advocating stakeholder-led activities to empower local people in integrated water resources management and development.
