BREAD is a non-profit organization, founded in 2002, dedicated to encourage research and scholarship in development economics. Their main activities are conferences, a working paper and policy paper series, and a summer school.
BREAD fellows are leading researchers in development economics.
BREAD has two categories of members: senior fellows and affiliates. Senior fellows are further along in their career and are effectively tenured fellows of BREAD. Affiliates are younger and hold their position for 3 years.
