The Syrian Consulting Bureau for Development and Investment (SCB)is an independent private consulting and research institution. Its activities include:

  • Conducting research on policy issues relevant to the economic development of Syria, and to the Arab region at large
  • Training and the dissemination of knowledge on local, regional and global issues of relevance to the Arab region
SCB has conducted various feasibility and market studies and carried out research on Syria’s economic reform and development, on integration prospects among Arab countries and on the impact of the Euro- Mediterranean Partnership Scheme on the Syrian economy, among other topics.
